👩🏻💻 Work experience
Digital Product Designer | Business Banking
RBC, contract- Full time Calgary – (August 2022- Present)
As the product designer for RBC’s Business Banking sector, I collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Interaction designers, design researchers, and product managers, to deliver seamless and user-centric experiences for our Saas products such as the MBA tool and RBC Edge. Accomplishments include:
- Enhancing E-sign Flows: Based on cognitive walk-throughs and usability testing, we noticed the need for better error prevention in our e-sign flow. Our solution to implement a linear flow for e-sign paired with attestations, contributed to the increase of our average document digitization from 2500 to 2750 a month.
- Accessibility Optimizations: Within my initial 5 months of familiarizing myself with the software, I proactively transitioned to developing mobile-responsive designs, optimizing for screen reader accessibility and consistently achieving AA compliance with WCAG standards.
- Simplifying complex entitlements: One of the most intricate projects I undertook involved collaborating with legal teams, product owners, and both back-end and front-end developers to devise a solution for configuring distinct transaction entitlements for users. Our streamlined solution significantly improved the tool's user-friendliness, as confirmed by our Go-to-market team.
